The narrow-vein gold mine Bulyanhulu contains copper, silver, and gold mineralization in sulphides. Bulyanhulu’s mineralization is linked to several veins that drop sharply. In 2001, Bulyanhulu started producing commercially. The Tarime district in northwest Tanzania is home to the North Mara gold mine. It is around 100 kilometres east of Lake Victoria and 20 kilometres south of the Kenyan border. North Mara started commercial production in 2002.
