An international non-governmental organization called Danish Refugee Council Vacancies Tanzania (DRC) supports and encourages long-term solutions for refugees and internally displaced people based on human rights and humanitarian ideals. On December 6, 2021, Mtendeli, one of the three officially recognized refugee camps in the Kigoma district of Western Tanzania, closed. More than 21,000 refugees and asylum seekers were moved to the Nduta refugee camp. provides integrated multi-sectoral aid in Tanzania that combines general food distribution, livelihood programs, individual and community-based protection, and CCCM.environmental preservation and regeneration. In Burundi, DRC supports returnees in their reintegration efforts through the provision of protection-focused services in transit centers and areas of return. DRC also implements livelihoods, food security and climate resilience projects through agroecological-based resilience design in ecologically degraded zones of Burundi.
