A nearshore Marine Storage and Export Terminal (MST) is part of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP Tanzania) project, which is a midstream development spanning Tanzania and Uganda. The East African Crude Oil Pipeline, a 1,443-kilometer electrically heated crude oil export pipeline that carries oil from Kabaale to Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani Peninsula close to Tanga Port in Tanzania for crude export to foreign markets, will be operated by the EACOP Company after it is finished. Together with the Tilenga and Kingfisher projects, the EACOP Pipeline’s construction will boost Tanzania’s and Uganda’s economies by generating tax income for both host governments, creating jobs, promoting domestic content, facilitating the transfer of skills and technology, improving the trade corridor between Uganda and Tanzania. During the construction phase the pipeline will create short term (2-3 years) employment for both skilled and semi-skilled professionals. In addition casual workers will be involved in the construction phase of the project, sourced locally from each district. The company is an equal opportunity employer, hence all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
