PATH Tanzania Vacancies is a global organization that promotes life-changing innovation and enhances health, particularly for women and children. We leverage our entrepreneurial acumen, scientific and public health experience, and passion for health equity to drive innovation across five platforms: vaccines, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, devices, and system and service breakthroughs. This project aims to decrease maternal, infant, and overall mortality from hypoxemia-related causes by improving access to high-quality oxygen services at all levels of the health care system, with the goal of giving all patients the life-saving medical oxygen they require. In order to provide a bundled set of diabetic supplies that facilitate safe insulin administration and diabetes self-care, PATH’s diabetic CarePak Project employs human-centered design. The Diabetes CarePak project’s third phase is a mixed-methods, longitudinal randomized control study to explore the health impact and cost- effectiveness of the use of Diabetes CarePak by People Living with Diabetes (PLWD) in sixteen Districts of Tanzania. The participating districts include: Mbarali DC, Chunya DC, Kyela DC, Mbeya DC (Mbalizi), Mafinga DC, Iringa MC, Vwawa DC, Kwimba DC, Misungwi DC, Chato DC, Tarime TC, Maswa DC, Bariadi TC, Tabora MC, Shinyanga MC and Songea MC. The study is anticipated to run for six months beginning from July 2024.
