Mihan Gas Company Limited (MIHAN GAS) was the original name of Taifa Gas Limited Vacancies (TAIFA GAS). With certificate of incorporation number 52508, the business was established as a limited company in the United Republic of Tanzania in 2005 in accordance with the Companies Ordinance (Cap 212). After two years of initial investment in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), the company finally started operations in 2008. Following an acquisition by new shareholders in 2017, the company’s name was changed from Mihan Gas Company Limited to The Gas Company Limited in 2019 to better reflect its updated vision and mission. As evidenced by its LPG cylinders and other associated equipment, The Gas Tanzania Limited operates under the names The Gas and Mihan Gas. The Gas Company has further 20 operating depots in Mwanza, Mbeya, Moshi, Dodoma, Singida, Morogoro, Iringa, Kahama, Kigoma, Songea, Njombe, Manyara, Bukoba, Geita, Tabora, Musoma, Arusha, Sumbawanga, Tanga and Shinyanga.
