Doctors without Borders is what Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF Tanzania Vacancy) stands for. We offer medical support to those impacted by diseases, natural disasters, violence, or lack of access to healthcare. Tens of thousands of medical experts, logisticians, and administrative personnel comprise our teams, all of whom are united by our charter. The values of impartiality, independence, and neutrality as well as medical ethics serve as our compass. We are a member-based, self-governing, non-profit organization. A group of doctors and journalists started MSF in Paris in 1971. We are now a global movement with more than 69,000 members. At the moment, Tanzania is home to some 246,000 refugees and asylum seekers, the most of them are from Burundi, its neighbor. MSF’s assistance has concentrated on secondary and specialized healthcare in an effort to raise the standard of care for refugees and Tanzanian host communities. MSF has also responded to several emergencies in the country including floods. In August 2022, an agreement was signed for us to begin working in Liwale district. This project aims to provide access to quality primary and secondary healthcare in seven government health facilities, focusing on children under five and pregnant women. The organization is an equal opportunity employer.
