Maendeleo BRAC Tanzania Vacancy is a component of a prominent development organization that began working in Tanzania in 2006 and focuses on the following themes: livelihood, food security, youth and women’s empowerment, and agriculture. In 2022, a project that will benefit 1.2 million adolescent girls and young women and 9.5 million people in seven East and West African countries—Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Uganda—will be announced by the Mastercard Foundation in collaboration with BRAC International (BI). Supporting adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) who are impoverished is becoming increasingly urgent, and the global pandemic has made this even more urgent. This collaboration will provide communities with scalable economic development strategies to promote the agency and voice of AGYW. They will have the opportunity to fulfill their aspirations, achieve sustainable livelihoods, and engage in advocacy issues. BRAC International will implement an integrated and holistic model to address the various life cycles of a young woman living in poverty, ensuring she is able to transition safely from adolescence to adulthood.
