The biggest sugar manufacturer in the nation, Kilombero Sugar Company Vacancies (KSCL), collaborates with Illovo Distillers Tanzania Limited (IDTL) and is a part of Illovo Sugar Africa Limited, which is the biggest sugar producer in Africa. The enterprise is located in the Morogoro region in the center/south of the country. It consists of two nearby sugar plants and agricultural estates, Msolwa and Ruembe, which are connected by a low-level bridge and are located on each side of the Great Ruaha River. Around 130 000 tons of sugar are produced by the company each year from about 1.25 million tons of sugar cane, of which 55% is grown by our own cane-growing operations and 45% by our growers, who continue to get assistance from the company’s extension services, training, and development programs. Under the business’s successful “route to market” sugar marketing business model, Kilombero Sugar Company (KSCL) enjoys significant local consumer support for its direct consumption brown sugar sold under the ‘Bwana Sukari’ brand name.
