In July 2016, UNICEF Tanzania Vacancy, in collaboration with the Tanzanian government, launched a new country initiative. This five-year program, which runs from 2016 to 2021, focuses on doable strategies for achieving children’s rights. Health, HIV and AIDS, nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), education, child protection, and social policy are the seven domains in which UNICEF works. The program’s goal is for Tanzanian children, particularly the most underprivileged children and families, to have fair access to and benefit from high-quality social services, opportunities, and information. A number of implementation tactics are necessary to achieve program results for women and children. These include enhancing the ability of communities and families to raise children and demand high-quality services; bolstering the nation’s ability to provide high-quality and equitable social services; and generating data and evidence to bolster child-centred policy development and leveraging more resources for children. Employing innovative approaches to solve key bottlenecks is a core strategy. The programme seeks to cultivate and diversify partnerships for greater reach and efficiencies. The organization is an equal opportunity employer, hence all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
