Stamigold Company Limited Vacancies was established on October 28, 2013, with the purpose of mining, processing, and generally treating, preparing, making marketable, selling, and disposing of gold or its byproducts in its raw or processed form. The only gold mining business controlled by the state, through the State Mining Corporation (STAMICO) and Treasury Registrar, is a private corporation limited by shares. The Treasury Registrar owns 0.002% of the total shares, while STAMICO owns 99.998%.The STAMIGOLD Biharamulo Mine is run by the company. Operations at the mine began in July 2014. Geological exploration within the Biharamulo Forest Reserve is one of the company’s operations. At the boundary of Biharamulo Forest Reserve, the mine is situated in Kaniha Ward, Biharamulo District, Kagera Region. The mine site can be accessed by road either from the Kahama–Rusumo Highway, or from the Geita–Biharamulo Highway via Bwanga to Runzewe road. All employees are Tanzanians because the company has continually developed its Local Content policies and skills development where the focus is on the employment of local staff, training of students and conduct industrial internship programs.
